Website Mood Boards

moodborad.jpgThis has been something I have wanted to blog about for a long time. Mike Metcalf showed these mood board templates that we create and then show the client. It is quite easy to take their feed back and tweak it to get just the mood they were thinking. From there the design comes a lot quicker and a lot of time has been saved. The mood board let us experiment with color schemes, pattern, photography, typography and illustrative elements before any layout happens. We haven’t had a bad experience yet. It really helps put the client at ease because they can start to visualize the project before and layout has even been done. It helps us as designers to get many visual elements taken care of. The next step would be to just organize the mood created in the mood board into a layout. The original post about this can be found at weblog.404creative.com.
